Top Gear Usability review

I love top gear (the BBC car show) , and the reason I love top gear is that they call it as they see it. Just like a good designer does. Platforms Vs Products

The difference between a product and a platform seems to be (at least in the mind of the some industry leaders) that platforms need to allow everything and products are that small insignificant thing that we wrap up platforms and bits of hardware in order to sell to the public.
