Good ideas have a life of their own – sPlay

When designing the sPlay we were looking for a good way to control many of the phones functions with a thumb.

See this movie by TAT, where they also use a fan style menu for thumb interaction… What is it about the fan shape that has the affordance of thumb operation ?
